Hortense & Violette
This is the story of two college friends who reunited more than 30 years later to start their own flower shop. Two women, mothers, lively and passionate professionals who decided to change their lives!
Delphine and Isabelle, deeply disheartened by a professional world that moves too fast, demands too much, and doesn’t value people enough, had had enough (or were fed up, as they say).
In 2024, they decided to take the leap, leave their respective careers behind, and start from scratch to create a business they’re proud of—one that reflects their values and is deeply close to their hearts!
Hortense et Violette, neighborhood florists, is a store that reflects their personalities and their desire to celebrate local floral farms, flowers and Quebec artisans.
It's also a commitment to promoting eco-friendly value and bringing little moments of joy to everyday life!
Delphine
Delphine Roigt, with a background in communications, law, ethics, and floristry! After more than 25 years in healthcare, she felt the need to find meaning, do good, and bring happiness, gentleness, and beauty to others.
Hortense et Violette is a member of the Quebec Cut Flower Producers Association (APFCQ). Delphine represents the store through her role on the board of directors.
Isabelle
Isabelle Ahmad, microbiologist and engineer, has over 25 years of management experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Passionate about plants and flowers, she has now turned her hobby into a career!
Delphine and Isabelle are both long-time residents of Ahuntsic. They love their neighborhood, and to contribute to its development, well-being, and community, Isabelle represents Hortense et Violette on the SDC Quartier Fleury Ouest.
L'équipe Fleury
Colette and Habiba are the wonderful florists who assist Delphine and Isabelle, the co-owners of Hortense et Violette, on a daily basis. They create beautiful bouquets, give you a warm welcome, and ensure that the shop runs smoothly.
